Hi, friends. As you know, I’ve been caring for my aunt the last four and a half years. Last Monday, she passed away.
Her battle with ALS was hard-fought; she outlived her prognosis by a year and a half, which is no small feat.
This particular period of care-taking was the most brutal thing I’ve ever been through in my life.
I say that as a survivor of eight miscarriages, multiple surgeries, and incredible illness, mystery, and miracles hounding both me and my beloved husband.
Husband and I need a break – but so does the whole world, and it isn’t happening.
Anyway, I’m trying to heal up. This is a level of stress I didn’t know I could survive, and I need to bow out for a bit.
Later, y’all.
