Seven Peoples

The Seven Peoples of the Earth are the seven identifying categories applied to most sapient beings in the worlds. The Seven Peoples divided themselves in this manner (or were divided) somewhere around the First War, which covered the whole planet and nearly resulted in extinction of all.

The symbology for the Seven Peoples has, over time, been roughly codified into seven distinct symbols:

The Great Wheel

The shorthand for these symbols (because who wants to spend the time to sketch all that out) is as follows (as drawn by a juvenile Grey):

The Seven Peoples are:

  • The Sun (any magical beings with a primary drive and ability to heal)
  • The Darkness (any magical beings with a primary drive to devour or collect)
  • The Guardians (any magical beings with the primary drive to protect or guard—unfortunately, all a little crazy.)
  • The Fey (any magical being with the primary drive to create or learn)
  • The Kin (any magical being with a mixture of Peoples, usually at least partly human)
  • The Dream (any magical being who lives between dimensions and subsist on the essence of dreams of others)
  • The Ever-Dying (good old humans—no magic, a short life-span, and a drive to explore)
