Merlin

Myrddin. Katie Lin’s uncle, and one of the most important members of the People of the Kin. Being Kin is always a crapshoot; there’s really no way to predict what any particular combination will create, and Merlin is no exception. His particular ancestry is unknown. He’s Asian – possibly ancient Chinese – and thousands of years old. He’s also the founder of the Lin family, which is head of the nine “important” families among the Kin. Merlin’s  sense of humor is probably what keeps him sane. He does, in fact, have a sleeping king Arthur somewhere, and is convinced that human will one day unite the world. However, the mythology that sprung up around Arthur, the round table, and all the rest is just hilarious to Merlin. He collects just about anything Arthur-related he can find, and often dresses in cartoon-wizard style just because it’s funny. Regardless of insane tastes, he’s not to be overlooked, and it’s his personal power that forces the Seven Peoples to acknowledge the Kin and give them a place at the table.
