How This Works
This forum is completely human owned and operated. That means there is no automatic acceptance when you want to join because a real human needs to make sure YOU’RE a human, too.
Read over the rules below. If they’re not something you can live with, no harm, no foul! You’ll find another community somewhere else. If you CAN handle them, however, then fill out the form below the rules.
I will receive your email. Since I have a life, I may not see it immediately, but I WILL soon enough. If I have questions, I’ll email you back.
If you’re in the clear, then I’ll add you manually. After that, you can click “forgot password” on the forum page, set your OWN password (I will never see it), and you’re in. Onward!
THE RULES
- NO GENERATIVE AI. This is non-negotiable. Use of it is a bannable offense.
- Respectful communication. It’s really simple: would you like it if someone said THAT to YOU? No? Then don’t say it.
- No hate speech or discrimination. Hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability is strictly prohibited and, after one warning, bannable.
- Privacy. One of the keys to this is that your work won’t be scanned by bots or stolen. This is why we do not allow generative AI, and why we trust you NOT TO copy or share anything anyone else has shared here. Respect the privacy of others.
- No spam. Obviously, you will share your artwork and books. This is about EXCESSIVE posting of self-promotional material, spam, or irrelevant content is prohibited.
- Credit your sources. When sharing art or writing from anywhere else, include the original source (if possible).
- Constructive criticism. We all know how painful it is to hear negative feedback. Your goal with feedback should be to keep that person creating, encouraging them to learn and grow.
- Report rule violations. We can’t read minds. If someone is acting badly, reach out and let us know so we mods can handle it.
- The purpose of this forum is to help you get out of block and into a daily habit of creation. Your behavior and words should reflect that desire not only for yourself, but your fellow artists. We want this to be a quiet oasis—a place you can come, put your burdens down, and create with the freedom you hopefully knew as a child.
