Marshall is a sociopath. Notte found him unusually complex in spite of murderous tendencies, and has made reforming him a personal project. It should be noted that Marshall does not fit Notte’s own criteria for Night-Children, and his existence is one of the only times Notte has broken his own rules.
RavenaA vampire, and Notte’s oldest surviving child (not his first, however). More insists that Marshall’s creation is proof that Notte has finally grown too old to lead his family properly. Notte insists that Marshall is unique, and deserves the time and attention he’s given. Time will tell who’s right.
