First off, the winners of the fantabulous printed books giveaway. 🙂 Congratulations, Julie, Ashley, Lara, Twila, and Louise! I’ve already emailed you, and as soon as I get the chance, I’ll send your books.  Yee-haw!
And in Other News…
So my experiment in KDP Select has so far gone pretty well. I haven’t gone a month without making SOME money, though it hasn’t been tons. 🙂 Heck, I’ve had almost no time for marketing, so that’s not really a surprise.
(The marketing for Half-Shell Prophecies mostly happened because of my absolutely awesome boss and coworkers at The Write Practice. Boy, those guys are amazing.)
However, I have to admit that for reasons beyond my understanding, it’s slowed down.
Sales rise and fall, I absolutely get that. The thing is, the launch of HSP gave me some really interesting insight because one of the things I did was offer a non-Kindle version to anyone who asked.
Do you know how many people asked? A LOT.
I’ve decided to give Draft2Digital a try. If it doesn’t work, no worries – I’ll just jump back into KDP Select. Since, however, my 90-day contract is nearly up, I figure it will do no harm.
I’ll keep you updated, fellow authors. We’re all in this together, after all!
