On the way home at last – and, because these things are funny, NOW-as-we-leave there is internet available at my aunt’s place. 😀 Fortunately, it will be there for future visits, which will definitely happen.
I like my aunt. This is a nifty thing; you sort of have to love family, but that doesn’t always mean you’re going to like them. I definitely like my aunt. She is one cool lady.
Grandma’s doing worse. I’m reaaally glad we planned to be in NYC for New Year’s.
My immediate family is going to be in NYC too, which is quite nifty. All of us together in one apartment – haaaa, this is gonna be one helluva New Year. 😀
Book update: Somehow, I’m under 80,000 words. I don’t know if that’s going to last or not; I’ve got three chapters left to edit, and the ending really needs some shoring up. Repairing the Plot-Hole-Of-Doom from last night is what took it down to 78,000. O_O
I THINK it’s a good thing that as I learn how to write, I’m using fewer words to tell an effective story.
That it’s effective, that is.
Anyway, we’re heading off. The drive back to NH is going to be lovely, if a bit wet. Hope you’re all having a great holiday!
