A really wonderful thing just happened to me. As I write here in the bookstore, sometimes people wonder what I’m doing.
In the past, I would answer… well, all kinds of ways. Sometimes it would even end up with “trying-to-write-a-novel-please-don’t-hurt-me.”
Today, for the very first time, I not only said, “I’m an unpublished author,” but I told her in two confident, eloquence sentences just what my series was about.
This has never happened before.
Maintained eye contact. No nauseated feeling of you are a faking lying liar not a writer not for real. In fact, that little nasty inner voice didn’t pipe up at all.
I feel… amazing. It’s nice to feel so sure.
